Solution Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Solutions Development Manager, the role sits in our clients Development Team specialising in progressing all elements of product technical design and development, promoting quality, stability and time to market for all product feature releases within the SAFe framework.

The role will be focused on delivering innovative, customer focused software solutions in the competitive and fast paced broadband and mobile services market.  

The successful candidate will be involved in the requirements analysis, technical design, implementation and support of various applications within our clients software stack including developing and testing enhancements and new features on these systems.

Proactive member of a self-organising, highly skilled agile software development and support team based in Limerick, Ireland. This role will involve working closely with many business and technical teams both external and local and will involve training and upskilling to the appropriate levels of development technologies and also on process and tools associated with support and development.

LOCATION - Dublin/Limerick

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaising with the development team, architects, product owners, release train engineers, QA and internal stakeholders on a technical and business basis.
  • Working within a development environment operating in the SAFe framework, you'll be responsible for software delivery activities our client’s roadmap of initiatives in conjunction with key business sponsors and local delivery partners. 
  • Translate broadband, mobile and CRM domain business requirements into clearly defined systems feature enhancements.
  • Implement and test high quality .NET/Angular centric systems that are both reusable, portable and scalable.
  • Implement graphically rich user interfaces that align to common company styling and branding.
  • Required to provide innovative ideas and solutions regarding systems design, technology enhancements and IT process improvements within a collaborative and team focused ethos.
  • Provide effective updates as required.
  • Provide support to internal teams, and external technology partners, as required to ensure deliveries are met on schedule and to ensure that the local systems are operationally stable.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to management, team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Identify, communicate and manage issues and risks as they arise.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field
  • Experience, in .NET/Angular, object-oriented development and T-SQL with Microsoft SQL Server would be desirable.
  • Exposure with some or all of the following tools and technologies: C#, Angular, ASP .NET, ASP .NET Web API, .NET Core, MS SQL Server, VB.NET, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, PL/SQL Developer
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of the software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of COMET application and associated processes and features desirable
  • Exposure to PEGA would be beneficial
  • Experience solving complex and ambiguous issues
