With all of their business services running through a 3-year-old server, having such a large workload running through one machine posed considerable risk to the business. In the event of this on site server coming off-line, a back-up solution would not be as reliable as a cloud alternative and it would take considerable time to restore services to get the business back on-line.  Furthermore, access to Versatile’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) was limited and compounded by poor broadband connectivity.

INNOVATE designed and implemented a suite of solutions that both overcame their current IT limitations and also realised previous technology investments, specifically:

• Realised original server investment and improved Backup solution including reduced RPO.  

• Reduced the pressure on the 3 year old server by removing Exchange function to Office 365 cloud. The risk of hosting email on premise was removed by setting up Office 365 email in the cloud.

• Upgraded to 25MB fibre broadband line with 24/7 monitoring. 

• Provided Enterprise grade security from cyber attack with Cisco Meraki Firewall, an upgraded firewall to maximise the new upgraded speed and this was provided as INNOVATE’s secure connect solution.
