Ecovis DCA move their existing cloud infrastructure to Microsoft Azure

In Dublin, Ecovis DCA provides quality financial advice and taxation services to SMEs throughout Ireland. They assist their clients in areas such as accounts preparation, tax planning, audits and business support.
Ecovis had embraced cloud technologies, but the private cloud infrastructure they were using had not kept pace with their changing needs and capacity requirements and other customers were competing for the same server resources on a proprietary private cloud infrastructure.
Ecovis believed that this infrastructure was holding their business back and costing them money as they were not able to access the high availability and performance required for key applications, vital to the effective running of their business.
Ecovis were using a fully hosted desktop solution, meaning that if services became unavailable employees were left without access to their desktop while the service provider recovered to a previous backup or disaster recovery point.
“Our system went down regularly, resulting in the loss of working days and our providers were struggling to find out why this was happening and to come up with a solution,” said Eamonn Garvey of Ecovis DCA.
Ecovis knew they had to find a more stable solution with guaranteed up-time.
After a deep review of the issues, INNOVATE’s recommendation was to move the existing cloud infrastructure to Microsoft Azure with a guaranteed SLA of 99.9%. Azure, Microsoft’s cloud computing platform, is trusted by 90% of Fortune 500 companies.

This removed single points of failure and allowed for a more robust solution to allow Ecovis provide the level of service they wanted for their customers.

INNOVATE’s Office 365 solution automated simple tasks, introduced workflows and simplified the end-user experience to increase productivity.
Office 365 replaced the existing exchange server while providing additional functionality and security features such as Spam Filtering, Data Loss Prevention Archiving, eDiscovery and Reporting.
